Mondays aren’t always easy to love, and mine got off to a rough start. Candace Payne, the Chewbacca Mom, reminded us last week of the power of the internet video to brighten our days, so I turned to happy videos to brighten my mood. These videos put a smile on my face and I hope they do the same for you!
1. Be our guest! The Beauty and the Beast trailer is out!
To start, the very first trailer for Beauty and the Beast came out this morning! I cannot wait until March 17, 2017, when the live-action re-telling o the tale as old as time is released. The film stars Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, Kevin Kline, Josh Gad, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Ian McKellen and Emma Thompson.
I’m intrigued by all of it, including Ewan McGregor’s French accent. His wife was born in France, so she probably offered some help, oui?
2. Bop along to the song Brand New by Ben Rector.
I’ve recently discovered Ben Rector and love his music. The song “Brand New” is upbeat and happy. (When singing along, “aer-o-plane” makes me smile without fail.) This video of the song is full of people having a great time, and it’s hard to not smile while you watch it.
They also get points for reading The Invention of Wings by Sue Monk Kidd, one of my favorite books, at the 2:39 mark. I’m not alone in wishing I knew the people with the fun lights in their backyard who seem to know how to throw a great dance party, am I?
3. Go, turtle, go! Happy World Turtle Day!
Today is World Turtle Day, but any day you’re watching this little turtle make his way to the sea, may it remind you that you can get where you want to be, too.
