You may know by now that I adore Stitch Fix (see my many reviews below) so when I realized that I was in need of some fun summer casual wear, my first thought was to ask my stylist, Carlee, for help. She didn’t disappoint with this fun summer Stitch Fix.

I am usually wary of horizontal stripes, but I loved the lace on the top that carries over to the back.

You know who else loved this top? My teen daughter. I have dibs on it, though.

I told my stylist that I was under no circumstances a short shorts girl. I worried about the length, but they were okay. They’re about as short as I’m willing to go, but for beach days, they’ll definitely work. They were really comfy.

Gilli Shay 2fer Maxi Dress

This dress came in a petite size. That’s the good news. The not so great news is that it still needs to be hemmed by several inches. I pulled out 4 inch wedges for this photos, but would need to have the dress taken up to wear it more regularly with comfier shoes.

The side slit made me sorta feel like I was channeling my inner Angelina Jolie.

I loved that this works with shorts, white capris, jeans. I have a thing for navy, and I worry that the navy v-neck is a lot like the dress. But it’s comfy, machine washable and probably a bit more age-appropriate than the lace yoke top.

I haven’t gotten many accessories from Stitch Fix of late, so this was a fun change. My stylist mentioned that this could be fun for trips to the beach, and I think she’s right. I loved that it has a zipper top. That’s key for me – I hate things spilling out of the top. This is a pretty sizable bag, as you can see in the photo below. The tassels are a really fun touch.

What are your favorites in this fix? I have to say that I’m leaning towards keeping them all, as the 25% discount applied for keeping them all makes it worthwhile.

If you’re new to Stitch Fix?

If you’re unfamiliar with Stitch Fix, it’s a clothing subscription service that sends you a box of 5 items that a stylist selects for you based on a few things, including a questionnaire that includes questions about your style, size, and budget preferences, what you want and what you don’t want, as well as your Pinterest board and requests you make with each fix. (Find tips on getting your best Fix here.)

The stylists selects five items (tops, bottoms, dresses, accessories, coats, shoes etc.) and mail them to your door, so you can try them on at home and see how they work with pieces you already have in your closet. You have three days to try them before sending back any you don’t wish to keep in the enclosed, prepaid mailer.

There is a $20 styling fee that is applied to your order, and that is charged whether you keep any items or not. If you keep all five items, you get a 25% discount on everything. You are only charged once you “check out” at Stitch Fix.
