Mom Factually is morphing into Between Us Parents

“Change alone is unchanging” – Heraclitus

Heraclitus was certainly right and his words came to mind when I was altering this blog a bit, although I think it’s safe to say he wasn’t aware of the blogosphere when he commented on the constant nature of change.

You may have noticed some changes around here recently, and I wanted to keep you apprised of what’s going on. Mom Factually is morphing into Between Us Parents. Turns out, like most big changes, it won’t happen over night. Rather, the process takes time. As my daughter reminded me, “Good things come to those who wait.”

Good grief, I love it when my kid is wiser than I am.

I’ve loved Mom Factually, but it turns out that I’m not good with multiple identities, and it isn’t so easy for other people to keep straight, too. So, at the beginning of the year I decided to try to put all of my work under one umbrella, to the extent that I can do so.

This space will eventually become BetweenUsParents.com, and it will be a sister site to Between Us Parents on ChicagoNow. The new header reflects that, as do the other design changes that are all thanks to the amazing Becca Ludlum. The web address will catch up when the Internet powers that be give the go ahead, which should be in early March, just a few weeks away.

You can tell that while the look and name may both be changing a bit, things in this little corner of the internet aren’t radically different. Hopefully the tweaks and updates are ones that you like and that will make it easy for you to read and enjoy.

Both blogs will be under the same social media accounts. Managing two was becoming a bit silly, as I love sharing good information, but why do so twice? So, you can find Between Us Parents on Facebook here.

Although I’ve found some comfort hiding behind blog names on other social media accounts, I’ve found that it’s easier to just be myself, something I often tell my daughter. That means you can find me on Twitter, Pinterest, Instagram, and YouTube under my name. I’ll be sharing my writing for both blogs as well as for other publications throughout the blogosphere on those networks. Fingers crossed that people will spell my name correctly and have no problems finding me!

Please know that I’m very grateful for your follows, likes, comments, and support. And if there’s something you want to see more of, or suggestions you have for improvement, please let me know!
